This sweet couple gathered their friends and family for an intimate celebration at the Altadena Country Club, located right above the old and enchanting neighborhood of Pasadena.  The wedding had so many beautiful aspects to it, one that was simple yet refined and mainly focused on the bride and groom's love story. Marieta and Ves were childhood friends who, after many years apart living in different countries, were reunited by their parents and ended up falling madly in love. It was beyond a dream to work with the nicest clients in the world, who embraced my creativity, and allowed me to photograph these precious memories. Congratulations again, M & V!

mission San Juan Capistrano Engagement Session | Southern California Love

I couldn't help myself when my film lab sent me back these photos: this couple is breathtaking and I just had to post it immediately. Mission San Juan Capistrano is not only one of the most beautiful wedding venues but also a gorgeous location for an engagement shoot. It's right here in Southern California only a few miles away from the pretty town of Laguna. Who knew that a historic place with brick, stone, and ruins that look like Rome, actually exists in in California! This sweet couple is absolutely adorable and natural in front of the camera. Elise Hameau | French Wedding Gowns

Elise Hameau and I collaborated on a beautiful shoot in the rain this year and it was absolutely magical. To be honest, we didn't anticipate a dreary day in Los Angeles for this shoot, given that LA has more than 300 days of sunshine throughout the year. But in the end this was the perfect kind of setting for Elise's beautiful french wedding gowns. It reminds you a little of Paris, doesn't it? Elise did bring these dresses all the way from her cute little shop in Paris, after all. There is so much detail in all the dresses, like the delicate lace woven in between tulle and silk buttons, or the criss-cross straps in the back. A truly bohemian look, I think it fits any girl who loves to have a DIY wedding and is constantly perusing Green Wedding Shoes. We couldn't have put these beautiful elements together without a team of highly dedicated and incredibly talented wedding professionals: thank you to Hannah with Milieu Florals, along with the ladies at Theresa Huang Hair and Makeup Design, and lastly but not least, the amazing Kathy Banner with the long and magical veil at The Veiled Beauty.

roxanne & nick | newport beach engagement

we had so much fun photographing this engagement session and getting to know our very sweet couple, roxanne and nick! when we first met, it was like hanging out with old friends. they love the beach and even live near one, so naturally our session started on the cool sands of the pacific ocean. nothing compares to the radiant sunsets and gleaming waves of southern california. it was delightful to photograph r & n's memories of their engagement at this beautiful location in corona del mar.
